2015 NY Art Expo

If you're in the city this weekend, head over to Pier 94 for the NY Art Expo, opening tomorrow 4/23-4/26. There will be hundreds of fantastic artists represented as well as a piece from my The Places We Ignore collection.

The Places We Ignore aimed to showcase the overlooked beauty of the NYC subway system. I started snapping pictures of interesting elements I saw on my commute to work and they ultimately inspired the whole collection. Every morning I would stand at the 2nd. Ave F stop patiently awaiting my train. I would stand in the same spot every day and watch and watch the white and blue tiled wall magically light up as the train approached the station. 2nd Ave aimed to capture this fleeting moment. These otherwise static, mundane tiles suddenly come alive and full of energy creating a starling mosaic before our eyes.

Go check it out!

Opening Reception of The Features We Ignore

On Thursday March 26th, family and friends came out to celebrate the opening night of The Features We Ignore. The show took place at Chashama's galley space at 266 W37th Street and was a great success! Everyone enjoyed the art and keep the party going late into the night next door.

The collection featured lots of intense and bright colors so I kept my outfit all white to avoid competition. I wore a Derek Lam 10 Crosby Dress paired with Sergio Rossi pumps and my own vintage gold necklace. I added a pop of color with NARS Schiap lipstick but my lips still didn't look as fabulous as those in N.3. Overall, a great night!
